Dad Update

Charlotte continues to do well and has had her feedings increased to 7cc while having her IV nutrition decreased.

She has been breathing 21% O2 since birth which is the same as room air. The doctor told us yesterday that if she would have been born at 30 weeks she would not still be on the breathing assistance (CPAP) but to be on the safe side they will keep her on the CPAP for now.

Charlotte and Dad say Gig 'Em.

  1. While I obviously don't remember it for myself, I weighed 3 lbs. when I was born (I was a hoss compared to Charlotte ;) ). There were scary things going on, encephalitis that miraculously went away, weight loss due to blood gases being off, but here I am 30 years later 100% healthy (normal is debatable, Katie can vouch for that.... *smirk*) Bless you both as you love and wrestle in prayer for little Charlotte. Her parents will not be the same, and the people you are becoming as a result will be a gift to her, as she is a gift to you.
